Latest Community Activity
CATE was formed in 2021 in the height of the global pandemic. During this time, our advocacy work included creating, gathering and submitting signed petitions to our government for travel agency support, to end the mandatory 3-night hotel quarantine for all incoming travelers, and include travel agencies in the domestic travel stimulus package. We also met with local MPs as a group of travel agency owners to share are concerns about the grave impact of the pandemic on our businesses.
We have a private Facebook group for travel agency owners only, as well as a Whatsapp Group and we meet regularly over Zoom to discuss important topics relating to the industry.
As a community, we work together in giving back. We’ve helped raised funds for hurricane relief. Most recently in June 2024, we raised over $1800 in funds plus donations to an orphanage in Cancun, Mexico. It’s amazing the power we have to make a difference as a united group.
